World Boxing Championships Liverpool 2025

Taking place in our home city this month, the event marks the first elite-level global championships hosted by World Boxing – the new international federation established to keep boxing at the heart of the Olympic Movement. With a focus on integrity, inclusivity and excellence, the Championships will welcome athletes and fans from every corner of the globe to experience international amateur boxing at its very best.

We were appointed as lead agency to develop the creative platform for the Championships – to capture the prestige and spirit of an elite international sports occasion, reflecting the global stage of amateur boxing, as well as Liverpool’s unique character.

At the heart of the brand lies the idea ‘Welcome to our corner’. It’s a narrative that embodies both the warmth of Liverpool’s welcome and the shared values of World Boxing. From brand strategy to visual identity, toolkit and guidelines, the result is a powerful brand built to resonate with spectators, athletes, partners and media alike, while meeting the high standards required by World Boxing, Liverpool City Council, UK Sport and GB Boxing.

The strategy had to build on both World Boxing’s credentials and the City of Liverpool’s as an authentic stage for grassroots and amateur boxing. One that could establish an identity that is welcoming, confident and accessible for a wider range of people.

The World Boxing Championships 2025 will take place from 4–14 September 2025 at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. More than 500 boxers from over 60 countries are expected to take part in the competition, across 10 weight classes for both men and women. It will be the first time ever that male and female boxers have competed in Olympic-style boxing for the title of World Boxing Champion at the same event.
