Carlsberg x Liverpool FC mural: Behind the scenes with artist Dragon76
Archive shots of Japanese muralist, Dragon76, creating the ‘Liverpool Legends’ mural for Anfield Stadium
Born in Japan, Dragon 76 has been working as an artist, painter, and muralist, specialising in street art, since 2016.
His style, while constantly evolving, centres around the coexistence of opposites such as past and future, and stillness and movement.
To bring to life a visual element of the brand experience our studio created to celebrate the partnership between Carlsberg and Liverpool FC, Dragon76 was flown in from Tokyo for a two-day session to hand-paint a 5m x 2.5m mural.
Entitled ‘Liverpool Legends’, the completed mural was then sent to the Carlsberg Lounge at Anfield Stadium where it became the iconic, new backdrop for the lounge’s stage area. A place where players’ stories would be brought to life on match days during hosted experiences like ‘an audience with a Premier League legend.’
